About

I use a lot of ways to tell and reveal stories. I've been modestly accomplished at all of them. My work is informed or driven by a core question: "How can people use media and language to eliminate perceived or unjust boundaries?"

Current Work

I've spent the last year building kokomos, a community climate lab and AI-assisted knowledge medium. Launch TBD. It will be run under a nonprofit I founded.

I work 9 hours a week doing community outreach. MVALP is an adult learning program that teaches 100+ mostly Brazilian students useful English. I think MVALP is the least visible big impact organization on the Vineyard. It's rewarding.

Recent (last 14 years)

I built and ran two small IoT engineering companies, published a book of poetry, wrote another, published a magazine, ran a small nonprofit video editing initiative.

Personal

Everything is personal. My wife and two dogs are the heart of my story. My one-time bike racing has dulled to a desirous spin, or two. "One of these days, I'm gonna sit down and write a long letter – to all the good friends I've known."
